Store Gaustanke it’ a small mountain in telemark Norway. It1s 1526 meters above sea level. Mountain surrounded by few other smaller mountains nearby and most visited and family friendly mountain Gaustatoppen 1883 meters above sea level.
This year my season stated a a bit later than usual and I decided that it will be Store Gaustanke. Lat years it was my season finish mountain.
Day was perfect with a lot of sun and no wind at all. I can say that for me +18 was even to warm for that kind of activity.
Store Gaustanke you start climb from around 1200 meters above sea level and you finish at 1526 meter. It1s easy but fun climb. If you will climb this mountain pay attention to lose stones closer to the top of mountains.

This year, my expedition commenced a tad later than usual, and I resolved that Store Gaustanke would be my chosen conquest. It served as the pinnacle of my previous season’s endeavors, and this time around, it would usher in a fresh beginning.
The day unfolded in glorious perfection, with an abundance of sunshine and a stillness that belied the absence of wind. The temperature soared to an unseasonably warm +18 degrees, almost too scorching for the audacious exploits that awaited me.
Ascending Store Gaustanke commences from an elevation of approximately 1200 meters, gradually ascending until reaching the summit at 1526 meters. The climb, though not arduous, still presents a delightful challenge. It is essential, however, to remain cautious of loose stones as one nears the mountain’s majestic peak.
I am no stranger to the allure of nature’s untamed beauty. Store Gaustanke beckoned me with its mystique, its rugged terrain holding promises of both adventure and tranquility. And so, with each step, I embraced the mountain’s wild embrace, knowing that the summit would grant me a glimpse into nature’s grandeur like no other.
